Yeah, I think folks noticed that during that tour, from another old photo of him way back in the early days.  Really makes ya wonder what Blackstone means to him...

In my haste and excitement, I also missed that there was little Meg involvement while ordering. I also impulse bought an umbrella. I would have still purchased this album, but I'm just a bit less excited about it.

Me too Mac. I don't know why but it reminds me of his Cold Mountain days.

Wait, just re-read the description, am I right that the only previously unreleased song on here is City Lights and the rest are from other albums? When did an acoustic version of Carolina Drama come out? I'm not very up to date on Raconteurs releases. Kind of wish City Lights would be released as a 7"

City lights gives me that Going To California  Led Zep vibe

Has anyone noticed that the 'Blackstone!' t shirt Jack is wearing in the promo video while playing the Kay in the early white stripes days is the same t shirt jack wore with the Dead Weather at Glastonbury?

Jack+White+Dead+Weather+Glastonbury+Musi

Wasn't there a story behind that? Like he spilt a drink on his stage gear and had to change last minute?  or am i making that up. It was baking hot that day at Glastonbury, well for here in the UK anyway.

So what's the deal with this album? I initially thought they were all different versions but I'm now starting to think some are the original recordings.

Also do we reckon this is going to be a vault package in some way?

^Yes, there appear to be a number of original recordings on the comp.

This may be the first release I haven't preordered. I will be picking it up at my local record store on release day though.

I realized that I'm going to be in Detroit on release day, and that my pre-order will land on my doorstep while I'm there.  You watch, I'm gonna be that doofus who stops in at TMR and buys a copy of the cd so I can listen to it before I get home.

While the tracklist is long already, I feel like there are some great songs that got left off:

This Protector
Little Ghost
Take, Take, Take
I'm Lonely But I Ain't That Lonely Yet
Temporary Ground
Alone in My Home

Fixed.

Carolina Drama is probably my favorite Racs song and I think I love the song even more now that I've heard this version. So so good.
