I am IN THE HIZZOUSE and FLYING SOLO for a mere eighth time at a Jack White gig due to popular demand for my company.

Preshow music is some wicked Beastie Boys and assorted hiphop atm.

Argh, there is nothing like seeing Jack White live.

We got:
High ball
Lazaretto
Dead Leaves
Temporary Ground
Hotel Yorba
Weep
Love Interruption
Astro
Blunderbuss
Cannon
Apple Blossom
Top Yourself
Three Women
Slowly

Encore

ICKY
Steady
Black Bat
would you fight for my love
7na

We got Screwdriver somewhere too. I've deffo missed some out and possibly in a wrong order but that's all my drunken excited mind can do right now. It was awesome as usual and i get to do it all again tomorrow.

Screwdriver was after Cannon I think.

It were great, particularly loved Black Bat Licorice. 7na is so much better now that it's a lot more freeform. Only disappointment was no Alone In My Home, I love that song.

Jealous of anyone going to Glasgow with their notorious crowds.

Jack seemed in great spirits and chatted quite a bit. Said his kids ('Leadbetter White and Sister Rosetta White') were quarter Northern for tax purposes. He said he thought the North could secede like Scotland could've.

As an American Civil War buff he'll know the South could've won with British support so I'm saying come and back the North, Jack, it'll really help and you can write our anthem.

well i needed a pee and the bar was empty when i got out. It was super easy to get in and out of the pit anyway.

Deffo the coolest arena I've been to for a gig.

Oh and i went crazy for Astro, Cannon and Apple Blossom. The encore was fantastic too. I had my hopes up for an extended set after hearing Leeds arena has no curfew.

Was it you that Jack said something like "You guys get those drinks alright?" to? He didn't seem that bothered, I suppose as we were all having enough fun.

Leeds Arena is cool, I was worried but since it's an amphitheatre it feels much more like a giant theatre show than a sports arena.

I'm glad I'm Slowly Turning Into You is being used to close the main set now and the crowd treated it as such, it sounds great. The six person arrangement finally lets them do justice to the multi-layered breakdown at the end, which is my favourite thing Jack's ever done.

no it wasn't me. Like i said, i needed a pee and the bar was free so i got a double Jack on the rocks. JW wasn't playing a song at the time so i felt i didn't miss too much ans i got straight back into the middle of the pit so happy days.
On the train to Glasgow now!

How cool is the second mic with the delay effect on it?!
I love it.

I love the heck out of that echo mic, too. Such a cool effect.  I sometimes wish that both that and the theremin got more use during shows.

He doesn't use the octave split mic anymore. Guess it was a stripes thing. I loved that too.

I noticed they were using the cool stainless steel standup bass I've heard Jack mention. I saw one of those in a museum. Apparently they expand and go out of tune if it's too hot.

It's actually aluminum. He talked about it in an interview (I think it was the interview with Zane Lowe when he played Maida Vale last year), said that it's all one piece of aluminum, that Lillie Mae's aluminum fiddle was made by the same company, and that they were originally built for use on cruise ships because wooden instruments suffered from rot due to the sea air.
