On TMR website it has WYFFML listed in the upcoming releases, but no other details.  Has there been any mention about this release officially?

It is official, it's just not available... unless you want it in digital format for your car. That you can have. If you want vinyl for your bedroom, though, and if you want the brand-spankin' new song on the b-side that's not on the album, well,  you're apparently gonna have to just keep twiddling your thumbs.

I'm guessing the most likely reason is that URP is massively behind schedule. But who knows?  I wish someone who knew would tell us.

This sounds juvenile but I'm equally excited about the next piece of album artwork. Of course b sides are exciting too.

I don't think there's any reason to feel that sounds juvenile. Jack makes a point of making his record sleeves interesting and the fact that this series seems to continue the "story" from Blunderbuss makes me eager to see this single cover, too.

I believe he said it was possibly being pressed at the moment. And he tried a giveaway for whomever could guess the detroit author of the b-side

Do we even know what the b-side is yet? I haven't seen anything about it beyond mention that it's a non-album song and I think Jack said it would be another cover (I think).

Nope. Blackwell asked in the chat "Can anyone guess what the Bside is?". No one was able to guess it and he didn't say. Though he did say the song was written by a person from Detroit. I think he also said it was a cover...

I'm thinking the B side might be a Stevie Wonder song.  ???

Don't tell me he's gonna do a Ted Nugent song...

Actually, with that hint, the list of possibilities is pretty darned long--  http://en.wikipedia....ds.2C_composers

Brendan Benson?  Are you thinking of Good To Me?  (Sorry, I know I'm not mac. But I love that cover, too, if that's the one you're thinking of.)

He also did "Folk Singer" by Brendan Benson a few times during the GBMS era.

Yeah, that one's good, too.

Man, I want this single. I held off on ordering the Lazaretto single since they gave us digital copies of both sides, figured I'd wait for this one and order them together.  Want this b-side, and eager to see how the "story" of the sleeves continues.

I keep reading this thread title as Would You Fight For My 7".

And I'm like, "You'd better damn fight for it, as that's slightly above-average!".

Being a pretty big BB fan, I never cared for the Folk Singer cover. The Good to Me cover is pretty good though. It's a better fit for Jack and The White Stripes.
