Car broke down an hour out of town. Fortunately my mom and her friend drove me another one and I'm at the hotel. About to drove the last hour to the venue. Long day and a $500 car repair. Most expensive Jack White show to date for me.

Oh, wow. I'm glad your mom came to the rescue!  And at least you know that for a couple hours tonight you won't have a care in the world  :)

Somebody posted this on Twitter:

Update: Jack White has been playing for almost two hours. He has played guitar with his beer bottle, made out with his violinist, & rapped.

Lillie Mae!

Fuck, this recording from last night is good.  Holy shit to the Ball & Biscuit.

The FILWAG was pretty great, too, aside from the vocals getting a bit lost in the mix on the first verse.

Anyways, off topic...we've still only got Icky Thump on the setlist, but I'm sure he finished with 7NA again.

Yeah, some of the stuff he was saying was incredible. And he played Lazaretto (obviously), I saw an Instagram video of that but really crappy audio

As well as Cannon and some other song http://websta.me/p/7...45902_186138307

Well, he went through bloody well every other song last night, so he was bound to get to that eventually.  Sucks it's not on the epic 3 hour set, though.

He'd better play it in Vancouver.

I sure hope someone puts a video of that on YouTube (and TMR doesn't take it down).

Benjamin Booker came out and played with Jack http://websta.me/p/7...302539_18399596

I really wish these were longer than 15 seconds

He played High Ball Stepper as the first song after the encore break

Those clips keep breaking up on me.  Must be because I uninstalled Flash.

YouTube works fine, though...weird.

Anyways, while we wait for the setlist, what sort of earplugs would you recommend for one of these concerts, that would protect the ears, but let enough sound in so it sounds really good and clear?  I've got a generic pair, but think they'd block out too much.

These were the ones I used they're called Hearos: http://www.amazon.co...keywords=hearos

I used them for Cold War Kids when they opened for Jack and they worked really well, but I took them out while we were waiting for Jack to come on stage and one of them fell onto the ground and I couldn't find it. So I ended up not wearing the one ear plug.  probably not the wisest decision as I was on the rail, but I didn't have any ringing in my ears afterwards which was good.
