My computer, as I mentioned, kind of sucks, but I'm gonna try to watch it live, anyways.

haha, I'll be recording it, but I have to be somewhere for 2:00, which is when he's supposed to go on stage, so I won't be watching the beginning, but I'll have it recording while I'm gone.

Congrats to the Kings, by the way, on their second Stanley Cup in three years.  Boy did they earn it, after having gone down 3-0 in that first series with the Sharks, and then having to play the Ducks and the Blackhawks before the Finals.  I'm stuck with the lowly Canucks, but I'm at least glad they've got a GM in place that is willing to make some wholesale changes now.  I wouldn't worry too much about Kesler being on the Ducks, as he'll probably be injured for half of the season anyways (I think he peaked as a player in 2011). ;)

Anyways, off-topic.

Their run gave me so many gut-wrenching feelings, but I've never been prouder of them as I have felt with this team. This Cup feels way more special than their first cup win, which may be kinda weird I guess. And it'll be interesting to see how the Canucks do, but yeah off topic haha

Well, the first Cup win, in Round 1, the Canucks weren't battle-hardened, and were ripe for an upset, the Blues always seem to struggle in the playoffs, and the Coyotes were probably leaning too heavily on Mike Smith to get where they got.  The Devils were also a surprise Cup finalist.  The Kings, that year, didn't have that much pressure on them, being the 8th seed

But this year, I thought the Sharks had so much talent and depth that they'd finally get to the finals, but the Kings never gave up.  The Ducks were very talented, and the Blackhawks are as well.  The Rangers didn't make it easy on LA either, what with three of the games going into overtime.  Anyways, enjoy it, the Kings are one of the most deserving Cup winners of the past two decades.

Back on topic, I'll probably have to close any other windows during the Roskilde performance, to ensure that the stream runs as smoothly as possible, so I'm gonna get some food before it starts.

Talk to you later. :)

He was probably only allotted 90 minutes.  But it was still a really tight set.  I do wonder about him starting the shows with Icky Thump, though, on account of the noisy, seemingly random synthesizer keys, and the fact that he can never remember the lyrics.  It's like he's trying to scare off casual, fickle listeners in the first five minutes.

Almost got through Three Women without missing a line, but he did mess up the "until he's got bills to pay` one.  The tough one to remember, I find, comes after One in California, and one back in Detroit.

And I must say, what a remarkable recovery with his voice...I thought he sounded great out there!

Great show. Loved Would You Fight For Ny Love. It felt kind of incomplete tho. I wish that song had a 3rd verse. Or maby pull a Cobain move and repet the 1st verse for the 3rd verse. Or maby some soloing jam sorta thing. The live version needs to be 10 min long.

You make a good point.  It does feel rather short for an emotional epic.

The surf song is Pipeline, by the Chantays, WBC 35.  Apparently it was their only big hit.

ETA: Daru re-tweeted my post to him as well, Matt (I'm Clayton).  Nice guy.

Yeah, I couldn't open that one at all.  Those MP3 audio files (and MP4 video files) download and play really easily, but I've tried opening the .rar file (with VLC) on numerous occasions, for many minutes, and nothing...

I couldn't even open it up into separate folders.

The .mov file you had the Fonda video set on had a few minute delay before beginning, but the .rar file doesn't seem to work at all.

I thought these VLC players were supposed to be able to handle most file types.

Weird.

I'll upload and post a zip file. Try using Unrarx if you have a Mac or WinRAR if you have a Windows to download rar files
