Did I already mention a long time ago that his guitar signal seems to be put through the tv screen on his amps? Such a cool idea.

I guarantee he's not really playing That Black Bat Licorice because it's too hard to remember the lyrics.

I really love the stage setup on this tour.  I think it's my favourite since the, uh, post-apocalyptic tiki room he and Meg played in during the GBMS tour.  Speaking of GBMS, man do I wish he had that marimba on stage amongst all the other instruments.

ETA:  The theramin is cool, though.

Black Bat might also be a tricky one to sing while performing.  Lotta breath necessary for some of those lines, so maybe that's why he's not doing it.  If I remember correctly, that was why he didn't do I'm Shakin' on the Blunderbuss tour-- He said something in a Vault chat about it being a "singer's song" and tough to sing and play guitar at the same time.

It is.  Shame the camera people at the broadcast shows haven't seemed to catch on to that and focus in on it periodically.

I do vaguely recall him playing I'm Shakin' on some television performance, but he wasn't playing the guitar...just singing.  Which supports your point, and his comments.

Yeah, and it definitely sounded like it was a bit tricky for him.  Would be cool if he could continue working on it in soundchecks and then try it live again sometime.

Yeah, he played it at the Pomona show, but for the Fonda show, he did it at soundcheck
