Cross-posting info from Swirl again... The latest issue of Mojo magazine includes a blurb about new stuff from TMR in early 2012. I got so excited I just almost peed my pants a little bit:

Posted Image

Re-mastered, re-designed blues re-issues from Document-
Blind Willie McTell vol. 1
Charley Patton vol. 1
Mississippi Sheiks vol.1

Blue Series with Tom Jones covering Jezebel and Howlin' Wolf's Evil.

I swear, getting so excited about stuff from TMR so frequently is really becoming exhausting. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

Edit: Darn, Kaber, what'd you go and delete your scan image for? Good thing I snagged it.

Awesome! This sounds like the best thing TMR has done! I hope more Blues records come out.

And so the Tom Jones rumours were true! Awesome!

The word "re-mastered" is too, too sweet. If that Charley Patton release comes out sounding anywhere near as clean as the new Robert Johnson re-masters, I'm gonna shed tears of joy.

I keep coming back to look at that article over and over. Can I just say how much I love Jack? I don't give a flying fuck if he works with Insane Clown Posse or Charles Manson or George Dubya Bush, just as long as he also does stuff like this. The man makes me so happy.

I am definitely excited about all this, but I may as well skip to the question I am sure you are all thinking.... Will the reissues have tri color editions?

I'd hope not. It's all well and good doing different colours of new releases, but don't start with the gimmicks on these. A multi colour Charlie Patton record just seems silly.

Kudos to Jack for bringing these back into print though, and the Tom Jones single sounds ace.

Maybe if they skip the tris for a few, then maybe the flippers would forget about tmr. That would be nice, but it's doubtful.

As I said with the recent stripes reissues, I'm happy to just have them at all, nevermind the tris.

i don't know how they could possibly improve on this. what's the point?

http://www.revenantr...ses&cd_ident=10

oh of course vinyl.

when's jack going to revive 78 shellac technology? these 78 vinyl reissues everyones coming out with seem bogus.
