Yep. You're welcome. That "Children Talk To Mother On Christmas Day" is killing me though. No idea where it's from

Blunderbuss > Ballad of Hollis Brown (Bob Dylan Cover)

Ah, is that from Fenway? Yeah, in the middle of a solo, he started just calling out notes. Presumably the ones he was playing, but I'm not a musician so I dunno.

Icky Thump/Whole Lotta Love
Damn. I usually say that I don't think Jack sounds that much like Robert Plant, but when he does a Zeppelin song...wow. That's badass.

WOW. How awesome was that Icky Thump > Whole Lotta Love medley. Imagine hearing that in person at the proper volume/mix. I might have died.

I've got no corrections for you, but I can't wait for the comp.
Oh, wait... On The Road Again was probably Willie Nelson rather than Canned Heat.

wewil, where are you? There's a goldmine of covers and unknown stuff in the most recent shows added to the Jack media thread, you need to get on that stuff!

For those who are interested, the "unknown song" that Jack has played numerous times (Masonic, O2 Arena, and a few others) is called Hoodoo Man by Junior Wells.

I haven't been listening as carefully to shows I wasn't at this tour or keeping close track of setlists-- Are you talking about times when he played just the music of that tune without singing the lyrics? 'cause there were at least a few shows at which he actually sang the words and I figured people knew what it was.
Posted 23 February 2015 - 11:45 AM
Nope. Stupid me had no idea that was the song he was singing haha
Posted 23 February 2015 - 12:00 PM
Eh, I'm kinda dumb, too. I thought it was a Muddy Waters song when I heard Jack singing it, didn't realize it was Junior Wells. Could've sworn I've heard a Muddy version of that.
