I wish Brendan caught on. He played at Detroit's alt-rock radio station 89X's big birthday extravaganza back in May, but the momentum kinda died.

There's this guy named Kevin who ADORES Brendan Benson. Like, in a "legalize gay marriage" kinda way.

Yeaaah, that was weird hearing his name on 89X and whatnot. No one caught on much at all, though. Everytime I asked someone if they liked him, I got a "Nooo I went to see **insert stupid band name here** but they were SO SWEET!"

Some of my friends have actually become die-hard fans, though .. But my friends have better taste in music than most fools around my school, haha.

i saw him a couple of weeks ago at the sheperd's bush empire, it was so awesome. my highlight though was OKGo, when they did a dance routine. it will take a lot of any other support bands i see in the future to beat that. brendan was lovely though, i was happy he did 'tiny spark' and 'sittin' pretty'. :D

I'd like to hear Crosseyed, Christy, Cherries, and The Swamp more live. Oh well. In my drunkenness I yelled "Insects Rule" at him when he played at Birdy's in Indianapolis back in August--to which he replied, "Insects DO rule"...and played it. Awesome. I've been trying to put together a BB avatar, but I don't like it...

I only could hear 3 songs by brendan benson, and they're awsome, i mean, so diferent from jacky's style, but they'll make averything with or without him.
I'm waitin' for a song written by both.

"Brendan Benson gig raided by police

Show in Berlin takes a bizarre twist
Brendan Benson's show in Berlin (October 26) was raided by police.

The star was playing the Mudd Club in the city as part of his European tour when, halfway through the gig, six burly policeman charge in to stop the gig. Eyewitnesses claim they were "shouting and wielding their batons".

The police announced their intention of arresting Benson, his band, the manager and the promoters and taking them down to the station. The charge they were facing was playing their music too loud.

They were not arrested but police insisted that the rest of the gig was played acoustically. Benson then had to play the last half of the show on acoustic.

A spokesperson for the singer said: "The police said the band were playing too loud for Berlin! It wasn't as if we were playing Motorhead covers."

I saw him at Wolves Wulfrun Hall, and OKGo did the dance routine, I thought they were really good to be fair. Brendan was ok, but not great, sadly he was bettered by his support act.

I like Brendan's music, and I don't care if he's not big. I'm kinda selfish.
