I'm sure there's others on this forum that will be as excited about this news as I am. Apparently his fourth LP is finally coming out this summer in August. He's part of the reason I love the Racs so much because of what he brings to the table. And it's nice to see him finally doing something since Jack's busy with the Dead Weather now. Plus, it looks like some of the songs he's had on his myspace will make it on there too. Should be great.

Hmm, I'm really excited this is coming out, no doubt about that. I'm just not sure that all his best songs are going to make the record! No One Else But You would have been the perfect album opener. ah, oh well. still super excited.

YES! Finally! I glad to see that Lesson Learned is on there. I am not optimistic that the album is going to be better than The Alternative to Love, then again how can you top that album!

I'm 100% sure they'll be different versions. If you missed it, we found a version of "Eyes on the Horizon" that was played on the radio. EOTH was a song from his earliest of demo days, and the new version is not only newly recorded, it features slightly different lyrics and song structure. A very, very big improvement. I'm sure the rest of the songs that existed in demo form have been toyed around with and perfected. I'm really excited for this album. Also, since so many of his songs from the myspace DIDN'T make the record, I'm hoping they find their way into another BB solo album or Raconteurs project in the not so far away future. We've all had our complaints about how long its been since this record was supposed to come out, but if this long wait has shown us anything, it's that BB is a very consistant songwriter. The sheer amount of quality songs we've gotta in the past few years in demo form, well, they speak for themselves.

That album cover is gorgeous. I love the birdie band and the folk-art feel to it.

I'm hoping to hear a tour announcement too...though I am really hoping for the Fall, so as I might fly down and catch the show in Nashville and spend some time visiting with bbug and assorted LR's. (September or October would be a fantastic time to tour, Brendan. Really! I promise!)
