There's no question that a fair number of the songs sounds fairly similar in nature.  But quite frankly, I find that to be the case with most artists, critically-acclaimed or not.

That Sufjan Stevens album that all the critics are going gaga over ("Carrie and Lowell"), for instance, feels like one long song to me.

Which is why I've always favoured musical diversity over "cohesiveness".  The individual tracks leave more of an imprint, even if they don't flow as "organically" into one another.

@terrycraig I totally agree with what you have to say about the album. I still think it's a pretty good album but after hearing Horehound and Sea of Cowards I had different expectations. I wish the album had a few more dark blues songs and some slow jams.

Jack really needs to put out a movie already. The comedic genius in these videos, specifically this one, is so great.

It would be a great way to make that Gold Vault subscription actually mean something. A monthly 30 minute show of some sort by Jack.

I've often said he could do comedy, not sure exactly what, maybe something like Curb based around his day to day at TMR playing a warped version of himself haha.

How about a slapstick comedy based around his days as an upholsterer with muldoon? Lots of gags involving moving couches and knocking into things.

Any idea what the lines and dots after the lyrics, credits and copyright info mean? I feel like it says something but I can't tell.

Well, it looks like Rolling Stone found the final track on the record impossible to enjoy, but their review still reads like more of a 4 Star, than a 3 1/2 Star (which they rated it) critique.

It doesn't appear that the album will reach the 80s on Metacritic, as it's settled into the same rating that Horehound had (75).

It's apparently Morse code.

I translated the morse code and here's what I got (***IF YOU WANT TO TRANSLATE THE MORSE CODE FOR YOURSELF STOP READING THIS***), on the spine it says "MORSE CODE" and in the liner notes it reads "WE PINE FOR THE NIGHT ETERNAL AND SILENCE FROM THE GAVELS OF MAN" thoughts?

Haha you could be right. I'm hoping that there might be a few answers in the next vault chat.

How is the 13th track on the vinyl? And is there anywhere I can find it online?
