The Man Who Wasn't There. Billy Bob Thornton. an early Coen brothers film. pretty decent, especially when I recognized part of my town in it (Orange Plaza)!

So, I've been super busy since February, and have had no free weekends but I finally had one this weekend so I just went to Black Panther!  Amazing movie especially for a Marvel movie.

I saw this one last month and was surprisingly impressed . I usually have a hard time getting on board with marvel movies, especially because there have been so many of them in the last decade.

I watched deliverance for the FIRST TIME & I thought it was a lot better than I expected. It held up better. I've been enjoying reading some critical pieces on the film.

I, Daniel Blake.

It left me sitting quietly in the dark for a while. No wonder it has a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It's a must see.

Bohemian Rhapsody. I loved every minute of it, despite the reported inaccuracies with the film. I had forgotten how much I loved Freddie Mercury, back in the day, and what a great live performer he was.

We saw White Christmas at the movie theater, and it was everything I could ever hope for, seeing it on the big screen

Watched the hyped up movie Bird Box on Netflix. It was suspenseful but ended up just being okay. Others loved it, others hated it and others just meh.

I saw this as well and the music was amazing. However, the teeth were way tooooooo much in my opinion. They took on a life of their own (like I was waiting for them to pop out and begin a dance or something) and made it ready difficult for him to deliver his lines.

Watched 1/2 of The Shape of Water. Beautifully shot. Hope to watch the rest tonight.

I watched Sorry to Bother You last night. It was great, but I wish I hadn't been impatient and read the plot synopsis a while ago.

I never tire of that movie. What an amazing cast. What did your friend think?

I think I'll watch it again. Thanks Kat

Read this on Facebook on the NYT page this morning: "If you thought Rami Malek’s teeth were big in “Bohemian Rhapsody,” consider this: They could have been even bigger. One set of prosthetic choppers were the actual size of Freddie Mercury’s teeth, but they were a little too large for Malek’s face."  Interesting!

He thought it was really funny. I don't think I've met a person who hasn't enjoyed it...

We're curious about the series, but we don't have Hulu to stream it.

Hereditary. disappointing. I was looking forward to some decent horror, but this was just stupid once a certain character was killed off.

Kat, you're not missing anything with the Fargo series. It didn't make much sense and although I watched it, I can't remember a thing about it.

I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody. Frankly, not many of the films this year are very interesting to me. Blakklansman was terrific. First Reformed also. But I don't even want to spend any $ to see Vice or any of the others. I'll have a lot to watch on netflix, cable, etc. next year.
