Blade Runner 2049 - very great. I fucking LOVE that futuristic jukebox!!!

Blade Runner 2049 is one of my favorite movies of the year. When it was over, I had to drive home in silence and let myself just feel the movie. That finale with the crashing waves was superb movie making. Everything just felt...drowning.

Yes, the waves, the storm, I was drowning. Tension the entire scene. And, you don't see Joe for a while, thinking he didn't make it. Too much. Did you find that too? Each scene was almost unbearably too long?

I was very skeptical because the original is "iconic". How could it possibly compare? The cinematography was exceptional. The water dams, those holographic (?) images from Sinatra to Elvis, I really loved those scenes. And, his great love. Ha, the Velveteen Rabbit!!!

I am impressed.
