He's the best actor of our time. He's just amazing. I.. i... i don't have the words to say how good he is. Then again, i don't have to, anyone who's seen him must agree.

I thought he was absolutely brilliant in Happiness. Really, an oscar would have been an insult. He's that good.

Happiness, I forgot all about that movie. I saw it a long time ago, really liked it, but really don't remember much about it.

jason lee

i can't believe i forgot about Jason Lee, i guess 'cause i don't think of him when thinking of "great actors", but yeah i've seen every one of his movies and there have been some real sh*tty ones, but he's always great in 'em.

keeping in that line i'll also say Jack Black, i'll go see anything with him in it.

oh yeah, John Cusack is also pretty cool.

Tom Hanks!

Apart from Castaway. What was he thinking?!

Looks like his taste in scripts is improving, though. I just saw a movie poster for the next Coen Bros., and he's the star.

dude, humphry bogart was the mother fucking man....he just exudes bad ass-ness. i firmly believe there are a string of bad asses for every generation of film and that bogey was the first (the 30's and 40's), then james dean and brando (the 40's and 50's), then deniro and pacino (60's and 70's), i'm at a loss for the 80's (for some reason i never gave it much thought), then today it would be johhny depp and brad pitt.

and dont get me wrong, mitchum is rad as shit, i personally just prefer bogey.

Fair enough. And I'll agree with you on Pacino and De Niro, and Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.

If the likes of James Dean and Marlon Brando are used to define badass-ness, then I dont think that Johnny Depp or Brad Pitt even rate on the scale.

I love Johnny Depp. He does great work. He has integrity. The closest he gets to being badass is by rejecting the 'Hollywood' machine etc. The closest Brad Pitt gets to being badass is by being in Fight Club.

I think James Dean's badassness is grossly overrated.

The coolest thing he ever did was die really young, and in a car accident.

And Marlon Brando has become considerably uncool.

Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt's coolness comes a great deal from the fact that their fame doesn't really seem to phase them too much.
