It's about that time again! Hopefully it's out next year :)

Do you guys think he'll tour for it?

our closest bet is asking the local tarot mistress I guess

or Jack if he's going to pop up in vault chat, and propably people will ask, question is if he's coming over anytime soon, second one if he's going to answer or just ignore it and give us some poetry instead

Awesome.

Is he recording with completely different bandmates (aside from what appears to be Carla)?

Yes, Jack.  Just guitar, bass, keys and drums.  Like every other band out there. ;)

Very happy to see him change it up and bring some new faces in the room. That will naturally create a new sound on the album.

Always evolving. Looking forward to it. Especially if its moving in the same direction as the sound on Battle Cry.

There are a lot of musicians there, so it'll be interesting to see what instruments they do use, given that it'll likely be more than the standard four.

The woman in the L.A. photo who's not Carla is apparently Esther Rose, who used to perform with Luke Winslow-King. She and Luke opened for Jack's Omaha, NE show on the Blunderbuss tour. And the woman with the bass guitar in the NY photos is apparently Charlotte Kemp Muhl.

I don't know which of the guys are which in which photo, but this is who I've been told some of them are--

- Quincy McCrary
- Alan Evans and Neal Evans from Soulive
- DJ Harrison
- Louis Cato, who played drums and bass on the last Tribe Called Quest album

I imagine Jack will continue in a hip-hop direction, at least with his vocals.

I just want it to sound different from The Dead Weather.  I listened to their most recent album about four times, and haven't gone back to it since.  Their music just doesn't resonate with me, for whatever reason.  Perhaps not melodic enough...

I was just thinking the other day that it's been three years since Lazaretto, and we're about due for a new solo album...then I saw those photos!  Very good news indeed.

I am also not a fan of the Dead Weather.

Well, if he does tour in the fall/winter, I guess we'll get an indoor venue in Vancouver this time.  I'll have to be more on-the-ball when it comes to tickets.

Charlotte Kemp Muhl is from the GOASTT
Quincy McCrary is keyboardist for Unknown Mortal Orchestra

These are both psychedelic bands which is interesting!

Another name I heard is Justin Poree (LA pic far right)
