Looking forward to a review from J.C. (and hoping that they give you a good show ;) )

I'm sure the actual quality of the show will be good, but based on other shows on this tour, I'm not really expecting much in the way of quantity (14-16 songs, eight or nine off the new album, and three each off the previous ones).  I've made my peace with that.  Wish I'd known about the Neptoon Records gig earlier in the week, but whatever, it probably would've been a nightmare to get in anyways.  As I have a "tenth row" seat to the Queen E show (just a few rows back from the small, standing-room pit), I won't have to worry about standing in line for an extended period of time, so I'll just roll in whenever I feel like it.

Had a great time.  Good, balanced song selection, really tight playing from the entire band, and Jack showing a ton of energy.  Sometimes in this band, I think Jack likes to hang back a bit so as not to overpower the other band members.  Not so tonight.  He was jumping around, and behaving as he would solo or in TWS.  Played some songs with one hand on the guitar and one on the keys, and engaged in some really fun improvisation on the guitar.  And as with most of his songs in TWS and solo, even the quiter numbers (on their respective albums) were loud.  I had earplugs in and it was still exceptionally loud.  Anyways, the crowd was really into it, and no one seemed unhappy with a relatively brisk 1 hour, 15 minute show.

So that's what that was...I couldn't make it out.

What, did Jack watch some of the St. Louis Blues' Stanley Cup playoff run?

Thank you for clarifying!

Very glad you and J.C. both had a great show.  I would'a been very happy with that setlist.
