So we've determined the greatest film, movie and motion picture. Who'll mention the best piece of celluloid film?

i love the peeled orange analogy. you can't eat the orange and throw the peel away-a man is not a piece of fruit! i remember that line most of all from that play. i always remember it. i love that line.

I'll always remember it, and I've never seen/read the play. I'll remember it for the Simpsons line that it is.

Actor: You can't just eat the orange and throw the peel away. A man is not a piece of fruit!
Mr Burns: This play was supposed to close last week! Close this play!
Larry Burns: Hey! You guys are alright.

No, it isn't.

Well, it's certainly Peters best film (er, Targets maybe?). One of the best American films of the 70's... is that more realistic?

What is the best film ever then, Mr. Simon?

I know from experience that the contemporary art scene is full of egotistical and pretentious snobs. They've been selling this post modern irony thing for a while now, I think they should stop flogging a dead horse and bring back the actual talent involved in fine art. None of these so called artists can paint or sculpt, but they can put a bowl full of piss in a gallery and give it a title like 'my dad' and everyone flocks to see it. I don't get it. I used to want to be an artist, but I would rather not surround myself with these people to earn a living.

People need to quit bitching about "modern" art that was old 50 years before they were born.

Death of a Salesman is a steaming shitpile.

No offense, but Jurassic Park is a steaming shitpile of a movie...Jeff Goldblum annoys the hell out of me.

Ohgosh.. YOU DIDN'T! [am I doing it right?]

I actually used the steaming shitpile line before I saw Anna's post, then felt like a damn repeating unoriginal idiot bastard when I saw it. I meant what I said about the Goldblum thing though...the guy is creepy.

"Ethan Frome" is the worst book ever written. The second worst book ever written is "The Scarlet Letter." The third worst book ever written is anything by Tolkien, and the "Lord Of The Rings" movies are the biggest pieces of shit of all time.

A second award goes to "Ethan Frome" for the worst movie ever made.
