So I've been watching videos from the show and probably need to retract about half of what I said in my original post. Just chalk it up to being bone tired when I got home and was going back through my memories of the night.

The one thing I did remember for a fact (and just re-lived, courtesy of YouTube) was gripping the rail of the barrier so tightly from the solo through the end of Blue Veins that the crew probably found a crimp in the metal when they broke down the stage.

So many thanks to the folks who taped all of the shows on this little tease of a tour. The band may be annoyed by seeing your black gadgets in the audience, but I love y'all.

Thanks so much to everyone who took and posted photos and videos!

And, not to be a downer, but one of the guys said that there was not a new record in the works. But that could change, right?

I just watched bootleg from Bonnaroo 2k8 and I must say, that Blue Veins from their last show is pretty dammn close to that level, which was emotion-wise really exceptionall even comparing to another shows from consoler tour

I'm still picking the chewing gum out of my clothes, as a result of clinging to that rail. But thanks from me to the tapers, too--there are so many great moments to re-live. And finally I can see Patrick!

1, The way he just dropped the thing... We're all so damned reverent of it, and he's so blasé, doesn't even notice that the neck bangs against the edge of the stage or seems to worry that Josh might not have been able to get it back. Not a comment on his attitude in any way, just a curious observation. Once again, it's obvious that Jack thinks about these things differently than we do.

2. You can see Helen and me down in the left-hand corner around the middle of that video, grabbing each other and going "WHAT. THE. FUCK...???!!!"

exactly... i would go even further to comment that he also 'handed the white stripes' music to his fans recently as well

all of this indicates that he is likely to feel enslaved by the 'objectivity' of being attached to instrument of his artistry

i understand this notion quite well as my well runs dry at times when others expect and demand of my inspiration base

so... there is my buck fifty on what it means to be a gifted person who is not limited to that which people perceive as your gift

it could be understood like "if you wanna some good record as you would expect new racs album would be alike, why don't you grab guitar and do something by yourself" :D, but considering it was kinda blink of moment I wouldn't take it too serious, btw am I wrong or Brendan works on his new solo stuff since like forever?

Yeah, but at least I saw him when they took a bow at the end. :) I <3 him!

Only the person who labeled that video said he tossed it. But also nobody at the time knew what was happening, why, or if poor Josh was going to get it back. And I hope Jack gave him a bonus!

Btw Jack came back and did three more songs after this incident, so I'd beware of reading too much into it.
