Oh God, what a nightmare--halfway through trying to book I had to find how to turn off autofill, and ended up having to dump the ticket and go back and try again. It can't be selling as fast as the Ryman, though because I got one. :) Don't know if I'm going to go yet, but at least I got a ticket.

Ah, I just asked via pm if you'd gotten one.

You got a ticket?

Yup, I got two so my Georgia connection and I are covered. Now to check airfare...

Has anyone received an e-mail confirmation of their purchase?

Never mind, just received it.

The Raconteurs have played the Tabernacle twice (was there both times). The venue is a mix of GA standing room and two levels of balcony with seats, one level on top of the other. The whole venue is painted/decorated red white and black, I have a feeling that might have something to do with why they pick this venue in Atl. Also it's a one hundred year old converted church. The Dead Weather also played it at their one year anniversary show. Went to that one too. The Raconteurs 2008 show at the Tab was the last date on their tour that year meaning The Dead Weather were formed the next day when they went to back to Nashville.

/end history lesson

The best place to park is the official Tabernacle parking that's a block or two away from it. $11 I think.

If you're so inclined to look up the threads of those shows, the dates were:

The Raconteurs 2006-9-19 - The Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA
The Raconteurs 2008-10-01 - The Tabernacle, Atlanta, GA. The Kills opened.
Dead Weather 2009-10-02 -Tabernacle, Atlanta GA. One year anniversary show.

See y'all there!

Got my tickets yesterday! This will be the first time I've seen any of Jack's bands live, so I'm excited.

Ah, congratulations! Popping that particular cherry is one hell of an experience. Did you get GA on the floor or seats in the balcony?

I just saw somebody on eBay is selling (for $600) seats for this show in section 202, row A VIP. What's that all about?

According to Live Nation, the show is all General Admission. There are no assigned seats for this show.

That's what I mean. And the balcony doesn't have sections designated that way, and as far as I know there were no VIP tickets offered.

Wow, early delivery for the tickets, that's excellent. I've heard a rumor about the opening act, but nothing substantive.
