Beware. Pop makes his debut tonight. Is there anyone more evil and lacking in any form of humanity than him? I can barely watch.

I love the bit in the first series with Pop and his sons. It's filmed like it's the Godfather or something. So funny, it's stomach-clutchingly painful.

The League of Gentlemen is up there with BrassEye and Alan Partridge as the best British comedies ever!

"We didn't burn him!" ---Tubbs

People who know of the League of Gentlemen might have heard of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, a spoof horror shw, probably the best television series ever made (steady on!). But it is incredibly funny, has anyone here seen it?

Just saw the film too and it was great. I was so worried it wasn't going to live up to expectations but it was classic League. It's filmed right near me, in the area I was brought up in (It's in Hadfield, I'm just next to Hyde)

http://www.multimap....y=9&scale=50000

so there were a lot of in-jokes that made us all giggle. Actually ended up feeling sorry for Herr Lip too. Did you catch peter Kay and Simon Pegg in it? (in the blink of an eye..)

I enjoyed Herr Lipp's role, he was great. The spitting into a cup and eye gouging nearly made me throw up. Generally, I found it damn funny and as crazy as ever although some parts were a bit weak. Could have done with some more Pauline! I'm glad they cut down on Tubbs and Edward and Papa Lazarou though being the elitist fan I am wanting to prove there is much more to the show than just those characters!
