I found out about her from an artile Dave Eggers wrote for Spin. I really didn't like her at first but I so facinated by this music that I had to listen to it again again, with each listen I liked it more and more. Now I'm a big fan. I just thought I'd introduce her to you and even if you don't like her music, her music vidio is really cool. here it is

devendra banhart just replaced her on my cd player. i am not ashamed to admit i have been a fan for some time. she reminds me of san francisco when the fog comes in on little harpie feet. i am seduced by that japanese octave and a song about a sprout and a bean? i am there. ok, so she's precious, she's also mysteriously trancendent

p.s.note to xina-she has another camus rhyme to add to your collection, she rhymes it with blue. (i'm holding out for doo doo)

I missed her tonight. For the 3rd or 4th time I think. Sigh. We're just not ment to be together apparently.

I absolutely adore her cute little voice though.

joanna's great. everybody tells me her voice is annoying but I think it's just different.

Her name always comes up when I'm searching for "White Magic." I think that's a sign I need to check her out. Harp-playing sounds lovely!

Im a huge fan of Joanna, she is absolutley wonderful. Has anyone heard Vetiver....its a band including Joanna and Devendra Banhart, and some otther folks. Its really great stuff.

I haven't heard anything of Miss Joanna's in...wow, I guess it's been a year now; my copy of "The Milk-Eyed Mender" mysteriously disappeared quite some time ago. Pity, I enjoy her. She's got a sweet, bizarre little voice, and as two good friends of mine play the harp, I'm rather fond of the fact that that's her instrument of choice.

I love love love joanna newsom. I only heard of her about 2 months ago and she is amazing. I have even converted my flat mate darn it! she's great!

I love her... her voice is like a little child, but is cool, and how she play the harp... amazing.
But i prefer Devendra to she, anyway both are wonderful artists
