^^ I'd figure out a way to get to that.

if he plays, and you make it down to the show, you'll get to meet me for sure cause I wouldn't miss it
and I almost don't care if they sell tickets online, it'd be worth the drive down there to get them in advance when they go on sale for this one I think - just means I would have to scrape together another forty or fifty bucks for gas, anyone up for collecting change out of a water fountain

YES! B) Fingers crossed for an advance sale...I just like the idea of knowing I'd definitely get in...rather than having to put up a sketchy ad on a nashville craigslist...

I bet he is to, it's just I know he usually doesn't do US stuff so he might want to make the most of his time in other ways or not have any spare, and if they don't do pre-sale I might just have to make a road trip on three other people's accounts so they don't have to worry about not getting in or something like that ;)

Dog House Music, IMO. :)

Just get dog house first and if you love it get the rest. Some of the songs start to sound similar after a few albums. There are some wonderful songs on man from another time like banjo song and my home (blue eyes) and the best from started out with nothin is walking man. When he does that live he gets a girl from the crowd and serenades her with it.

From the sound of it, they just signed the contract. The TMR News announcement mentions both a 7" and an album, but it doesn't sound as if anything's been recorded yet. I'd be surprised as hell if Jack doesn't produce and play on it.

Kali or Aqua? :P

I can think of a whole lotta other folks-- Kevin, Angelina, DLB, Kaber, Colin...

If you go to Steve's site it states he has an album out towards the end of may.

NME.com is making it seem like it's an album that's already recorded and just being released by TMR.

http://www.nme.com/n...ick-steve/55519

Seasick Steve is set to release his new album 'You Canít Teach An Old Dog New Tricks' on May 30.

The self-produced effort will be released in the UK on the Play It Again Sam label. In the US it will come out on Jack Whiteís Third Man Records.

The album will be the follow-up to 2009ís 'Man From Another Time' and was produced by Steve with Henry James Wold.

Steve played a short set yesterday (March 16) at the SXSW festival in Austin, shortly after a solo set from White.

The tracklisting of 'You Canít Teach An Old Dog New Tricks' is:

'Treasures'
'You Canít Teach An Old Dog New Tricks'
'Burniní Up'
'Donít Know Why She Loves Me But She Do'
'Have Mercy On The Lonely'
'Whiskey Ballad'
'Back In The Doghouse'
'Underneath A Blue And Cloudless Sky'
'What A Way To Go'
'Part'
'Days Gone'
'Itís A Long, Long Way'

Ah, interesting. So this will be like the GH album and the 7" will be a Blue Series produced by Jack?

Yes, apparently it's already been recorded. I think Henry James Wold is Steve's son, btw.
