Topics I've Started

The Network- Money Money 2020

08 June 2012 - 07:18 PM

J.U.F.

03 January 2011 - 02:14 PM

The energetic fella from Gogol Bordello is a DJ as well. He makes beats with another fella, The Belkan Beatbox...

I think this would convert any non-believers:

J.U.F. - The Gypsy Part of Town

The Hives

26 August 2010 - 04:04 PM

I just discovered this wonderful band, I think they are from Sweden. This is the first band in a long time to pull em away from jack White finally. The new album by the hives is so good, I can't stop listening...

my favorite songs:

tick, tick, boom
t.h.e.h.i.v.e.s.
walk idiot, walk

they are like, loud and catchy

the lead singer, Pelle, well he just has alot of energy like Jack. Time for me to check out some of the older albums...

Roger Waters

06 May 2010 - 11:39 AM

Attention all Pink Floyd fans: Roger Waters is touring The Wall (complete, with state-of-the-art technology / stage effects ) all across the states. A lot of people on this board talk about the declining world of music, and they fantasize about shows being as good as they were in the 60s and 70s.... well this is the definitive show of all shows, and no other musical act currently touring will even compare to this. If any of you are lucky enough to see this, it will most likely be the best concert of your entire life.

The thing is, tickets are super expensive, like.. super, super, unheard of expensive. Like.. $200 for a seat all the way in the very back expensive. I paid $400, but I will be right in front of the stage at the Palace in Detroit. My justification for this is a) it has got to be one of his last tours, B) it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I would have never guessed would be even possible in 2010. and c) if you were ever going to see Roger Waters, seeing him perform his magnum opus is, like, a dream come true. Particularly if you were born after The Wall first came out.

Shine on you crazy diamonds

The Screaming Females

27 July 2009 - 06:32 PM

Hey, I just saw these guys open up for the Dead Weather, and I liked. It is two dudes and a chick, who happens to be an amazing singer / guitar player. I think her guitar skills are pretty hot actually. And her vocals remind me of Crass! Check 'em out:

The Screaming Females story:

The Jackson 5 cover at the very end is particularly fun
