recently I read Lincoln on the Bardo (amazingly creative and powerful), Exit West (pretty good), and Wonder Valley (also pretty good.)

Just getting started on Gold Fame Citrus based on Kat's review. :)  Off to a good start.

The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale.

I've probably read about 20 books already this year. Another great one is called Verbal Judo. It will change your life.

^^^^ love the title of Verbal Judo.

I'm loving Anne Rice yet again. Read The Mummy and an now reading the follow up to it entitled Ramses The Damned which was co-written with her son. I can definitely detect his voice which is prompting me to look into his stuff now.

I loved Exit West!

I'm reading Brother in Ice by Alicia Kopf.  After reading, and liking, a couple of Mexican novels published by And Other Stories, I took the plunge and subscribed.

I finished Gold Fame Citrus and it was terrific. Also "I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter" by Erika L. Sanchez. It's an excellent contemporary YA novel. Well executed all the way through on many levels.

I'm nearing the end of "Who Fears Death" by Nnedi Okorafor. It's been a tough, but wonderful, read.

finishing the nasty bits, a compilation of essays/magazine articles/etc by bourdain.

then on to I'll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara. I have been following the Golden State Killer case since I first heard about it at 15. I'm so glad he was finally caught, but I'm sad that Michelle didn't live to see it. Even though she didn't get to finish her book, I've heard it's quite good. She's a real deal writer.
