the guitarist sort of looks like it could be Jackson Smith. but his face is pretty blurry. that'd be great though.

love the song, and the video. excellent.

Such a nice voice! I'm guessing they did a full band music video for the single and then did this acoustic thing as an afterthought, maybe...

The song is beautiful and Karen's voice is hauntingly sweet. The lyrics are also very chilling, intense...I really enjoyed this. Is this an official directed video for the song or just part of the live performance? Seems strange they kept all the band members sitting behind her, I kept getting distracted waiting for one of them to flinch or something.

Also: Dare I say that Karen looks very very similar to Miss Tracee Mae Miller?

Also also: WHY must everything the Third Man people design include the font Copperplate Gothic? Why why why? It kills me a little.

I'm curious too as to whether this will be all-acoustic. And so this must be why Jack is so circumspect at times about the Third Man projects. ;) But he's mentioned a couple times in interviews wanting to work with Karen, so it's cool to see this.

holy shit, someone needs to get some meat on that woman's bones! i was sort of concerned that her arm was gonna fall off while strumming.

good song though, great voice. cant wait to hear more.

agreed on both points - this was way better than I thought it was going to be, thanks for the links and Wewil for the download, I am going to go and watch this on a better stereo. For some reason wasn't to excited about this announcement for once and then Jack brings something like this to the table, well done sir - well done!

Thank you! My inner graphic design nerd was screaming that, when I saw her website.

I do like the song though, I'm excited for the album!

Who want's to bet that the next Vault package includes a Karen Elson 7"?

Wow, she was Mildred? Jack and her made up that story about the Kentucky hardware store. If it is her than she was the 1st to record on Third Man? Is this true?

I'd be down for that or an EP either one, curious to hear how she sounds with the band behind her

I like this, but I really would like it if Mildred makes a come back eventually. That 7" was great.

Well yes, but the little story about Mildred on the website seemed so strangely innocent and I quite enjoyed having that in my mind as the truth. This is what I dislike a lot about this bullshit Jack decides to make up about things. There is no truth. I suppose you could argue it's a form of storytelling or something, but it's just insincere. Or perhaps Karen made it as her alter ego? I have no idea, this is the first I'm even hearing about it.

Anyway, yes, this song is lovely.

I think that she was Mildred shows she's capable of a lot of different styles. She does a beautiful cover of "Candy Says" on a harp in The Citizen's Band. I'm glad to see her making something that is her and not a character though. It would be cool if Mildred came out once in a while.
