I'm disappointed that its not being passed on. The photography classes at my school barely teach the basics, and they don't require you to have a manual camera. I learned about SLRs on my own, through experimentation, books, and my dad.

Oh, and JackWhite'sGirl, don't worry about it.

thats exactly how i disscovered photography.... actually i didnt 'discover' it, ive grown up with photography. I personally prefer SLRs over digitals, but I have nothing against them. To me, digital is just different art requiring a total different technique, that is, if you're into really neat and creative digital pieces.

For some reason or another I have the equipment for a darkroom, just no place to put it.

Hmm..I use both. I have two SLRs and I love to develop my own photos but my digital camera also has manual functions and it's so much easier to carry around, plus I like seeing what I've got if I'm somewhere I might not be again. I took a quite pretty one at the Sacre Coeur (feeling all Amelie) the other day but it's a bit blurry because I was so cold and didn't have my tripod.

I have seen similar ones at art fairs for sale for anywhere from $35 to $125 depending on the size. This is a beautiful example of good use of depth of field! I hope you don't mind that I made a copy of it, I was thinking of using it as wallpaper on my computer if you don't mind? It's absolutely stunning! All your photography on the site was beautifully done, you have a good eye!

Was that a cricket match? I've never actually seen it played, but on BBC they always talk about who is playing who and it sounds like a complicated game!

I will eventually post some pictures.... I've got loads of great ideas for pictures to do too, but I have to wait for the snow till I can take them and, the things I need to take them I usually can't find, like rigt now I'm looking for a metal manican and an old T.V....and I've been wanting this really expensive perogram for the computer whith which you can change the colours of pictures and shit for over a year now, but haven't saved up enough money for it yet.. (I usually end up sped the money on something else) but when I do get the grogram, I will post somepictures I've altered with it. ;)
