Some people say Robert Plant. They may be right.

just a tiny bit.........
See what I just did there?! He's got a rock'in voice but he just needs a few lessons. So much power that it gets away from him at times. If that band can write they will be something. Good find, thanks for sharing DLB and it's good to see you around these parts again !!!!!!

I could have saw them last night but they were part of 'Freaker's Ball' which is sort of like a one day Halloween festival with several bands. It has been going on for years. I think they were an odd fit for the rest of the bands that were playing and I had no desire to be a part of a crowd that might hurt me, lol.
They are headlining the small club dates and they are playing at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. You might remember that TWS played there.
One more thing! You might want to check out TWS media thread if you want some live unofficially released shows. It was recently revamped.
Cheers!

Strong pass from me. I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fan, but this is a little too much imitation for me.

Long time no update.... I was able to get tickets to the May 2nd show but sold all four of them. Had more pressing financial issues. I sold them for what I paid for them instead of the inflated scalper prices. Anyway, this tour has been selling out at all of their headlining shows. They were at the HOB Dallas and all 1,500 seats sold out immediately. They just released a new single called 'When The Curtain Falls':

It immediately went to number one on itunes. The new CD/Album is supposed to be out in October or November. They just announced a new show here in Dallas at the South Side Ballroom in October and all 4,000 tickets sold out immediately and no I won't be going because I still have more pressing things that need paying for. I get the Zeppelin comparisons but these guys are talented in their own right. Here they cover Adele's Rolling In The Deep:
And from their Double EP release From The Fires their cover of Sam Cookes's A Change Is Gonna Come:

They have a lot of musical influences.
Cheers,

I should add that Greta will be on The Tonight Show tomorrow night (July 26). Their first two singles went to number one on the billboard rock chart and the new song debuted at number 21 this week.

I'm just gonna copy and paste my thoughts as I posted them on Facebook about this band:
Are we still pretending Greta Van Fleet aren’t creatively-void-hackneyed-horse shit completely lacking in anything resembling musical dignity? If this “band” deserves any attention it should come in the form of a guitar’s broadside against the back of their head in a futile attempt to dislodge Robert Plant’s pale, flaccid, elven penis from the depths of their throat; except even under such righteous circumstances I wouldn’t want them to be so close to a guitar. The only accomplishment this band will be responsible for is pioneering a previously unforeseen new low for record companies and music consumers who apparently no longer require an artist to possess a single unique quality to justify their existence.
Oh, and four white boys covering Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come”? Yeah, no.

It's a bit like Billy Madison formed a band?
So yeah, I can't get on board this one...

P.S. If you like this band, don't take my harsh admonishment of them as harsh admonishment of your taste in music. If it's your bag, enjoy it. No shame in that.
