How's this....Who wants to be my official tour if and when i take the visit. My biggest vice is food and i can't say no to any of these places.

C'mon there's a complimentary 6 pack and meal for you at one of the joints above.

Some helpful details from the Swankster himself:

"Hello hello.

Here's some groundrules:
Store hours are actually 12-4 weekdays, cash only.
Ring the bell for service. Be polite, please and thank you's are appreciated.
No, we're sorry, but you may not go into the offices in the back.

We love and thank you for your support."

Also, eat at Loveless Cafe which is a little ways outside of town but so worth the drive.

Not that anyone would remember, but wasn't that place on the Insomniac show with Dave Attell? I always wanted to go, but couldn't remember the name of the place.

Don't forget to tour the Ryman. Even when there aren't shows going on there they do tours throughout the day. If you do the deluxe one you get to see the green rooms. It's a pretty special place. To be able to go onto the stage of the Ryman and take a picture is pretty awesome. Can't imagine what it must feel like to perform on it.

Also, not sure if anyone has mentioned The Parthenon in Centennial Park. It's a full-scale replica of The Parthenon with an art gallery inside and a gigantic replica of a statue of Athena. I'm not sure how large exactly, but in her palm she holds a statue that measures 6 feet tall. So it's pretty big. Very cool place for a first visit to Nashville.

Gruhn Guitars on Broadway St. It isn't anything to see an $80,000 guitar there. That's where Jack goes to get his shit worked on.

I went there. It kinda sucked because the guitars were cool, but I was looking for a cheap one lol.

thr ryman for sure, as has been previously mentioned, be sure to take the tour, it's fun and you can get up in the balcony & check out all the fantastic goodies all over that place. ~ even get your pic taken on the steps of the stage.

up & down Broadway is where the main stuff is... GREAT lil bars & such.

the grand ol' opry is neat as well.

To Venus and Mars, yes. Lovely little boutique. Prices ranged from $20.00 to $1700.00 depending on what you were in the market for. Picked up a vintage cross that had a price tag closer to the $20.00 mark. The gentleman behind the counter was so kind. Managed to get to TMR immediatly afterwards, but it was closed Posted Image . We flattened our noses against the windows to have a peek in. Chris wanted us to slip a note under the door (after we rang the buzzer a couple of times) to let "The Bens" know that we were there, but I was afraid that we would set off the alarm. Posted Image So instead we packed it up and headed back to the airport.

Was that just today? I'm sorry you didn't get into TMR. We were thinking of heading to Nashville this weekend, with a trip there today. Here's hoping you are back there soon!
