i was happy to see this get bumped because i had literally forgotten about brendan, i'm sorry to say. recently, i listened to blanche and the white stripes on a drive back home. it was the first time in a long while, and it made me feel very nostalgic for a very specific time of my life. i can never go back there again--nor would i want to. but damnit, if the songs from that era don't put me back in the moment, at least a little. anyway, brendan had so many good songs and they've aged really well... "tiny spark" and "metarie" and "cold hands, warm heart" and "spit it out" plus SO MANY terrific pop tracks from "one mississippi." anyway, i hope he's still writing and doing well.

^^^^ isn't it beautiful the way music transcends time a writes history for us? It really is a blessing to be open to the effects of art. It's timeless yet stands still all at once.
We are so very fortunate.
And yes, it is so very good to have Brendan back. He is way overdue

I like the new song. At this point, I'd probably see Brendan over Jack if I had to choose...

yes! glad to see he's still at it. could never understand why he didn't have more commercial success, especially after the raconteurs.
